Jerseys are to be returned at the party on Thursday.  Please make sure that jerseys, shorts, and pinnies (and goalie jerseys) are washed, and have them enclosed together in a large ziploc bag.  Thanks!

Mrs. DeJesus was kind enough to provide some pictures from the season, which I am in the process of uploading to the site.  If you have any pictures that you'd like to share from our undefeated season, please send them to me so that they can be added to the site.

If you do not want your player to appear in pictures on this site, please let me know and I will remove them.

The end of season party will take place on Thursday, Nov. 3 in the main gym until about 4:30.  Activity buses will be available if needed, but parents are encouraged to come celebrate a stellar soccer season with their sons.

The game at Marsteller has been rescheduled for tomorrow, Oct. 21.  Players should dress up for the away game.

Today's game at Marsteller has been postponed due to weather, no make-up day has been confirmed yet.  We will NOT be having practice today.  Enjoy the day off and get some well-earned rest.

The game against Parkside has been rescheduled for this afternoon at 4:45.  It is a home game.

There is no game this afternoon, but we will be holding an indoor practice.  Yesterday's game will be rescheduled for sometime next week.

There will be no practice this Friday as I will be out of the building all day.

Order forms have been handed out for Team Spirit Wear.  These need to be returned to either Mrs. McMillan or Ryan McMillan by tomorrow, Oct. 12.  See Mrs. McMillan for copies of the order form.

There will be no practice this afternoon.  Good luck to everyone playing in the VA Beach tournament.

Yesterday's game has been rescheduled for Thursday, Oct. 6.  We will be having a regular practice today.

Due to a very wet field, we will have to postpone today's game.  There will also be no practice today.

Players should bring BOTH game jerseys and practice clothes to school tomorrow.  Do not wear jerseys to school.

Pictures will still take place on Wednesday, Oct. 5 prior to the game against Manassas Park.  See Coach Minner for picture order forms.

Monday's game is away, so players need to wear a shirt, tie, and nice pants to school.  Green soccer socks will be provided on Monday prior to the game.

Congratulations to Bobby Bynum, Ryan McMillan, and Ian Mateer.  They have been named team captains for the 2011 season. 

Due to several meetings that I am required to attend this week after school, there will be no practice TODAY, 9/19, TOMORROW, 9/20, and THURSDAY, 9/22.  Unfortunately this only leaves 2 days of practice before our first game, but these are forces out of my control.

Please make sure that I have both the Team Expectations Letter and Emergency Card signed and returned by Wednesday so that everyone can practice.

There will be practice tomorrow regardless of weather.  Listen to announcements regarding where to meet.  Also, we are required to hold a meeting with the parent(s) of anyone who made the team.  This will take place on Friday, September 16, immediately after practice (about 5:00).  It will be a very brief introduction of coaches, along with team expectations, schedule, and team parent volunteers, which shouldn't last more than 15 minutes.  If you cannot attend, I will be sending a paper home with your player to sign and return.  We look forward to meeting you.

Thanks again to all the players who came out.  It was certainly a tough decision narrowing down a team.  If any players have questions or comments, please see me during the school day.  If any parents have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to email me.

It looks like the weather should cooperate, so tryouts will be Monday from 3-5.  Students trying out must have a ride home promptly by 5, and be prepared with cleats, shinguards, water, and a ball.  We will meet in the gym before moving out to the fields.

Due to the weather and field conditions, we have been forced to postpone tryouts.  The first day of tryouts will be the first day we are allowed back on the fields.  This could be tomorrow, or it could be next week, so students planning on trying out for soccer need to be prepared every day with cleats, shinguards, water, and a ball.  We will still be holding 3 full days of tryouts regardless of when they start. 
There will be an announcement at the end of each day telling students the status of tryouts and where to report to.  I will also post the status on this site for parents as soon as a decision is made.  I apologize for the uncertainty, but nature is not cooperating as it has in years past.  Please contact me with any questions or concerns.

Tryouts will begin this Thursday, Sep. 8th, and run through Monday, Sep. 12th.  Depending on the number of students trying out, we may hold a fourth day of tryouts on Tuesday, Sep. 13th.  In order to tryout, students must have an up-to-date physical on file or present one to the coach.  At least one parent and the student trying out must have also attended one of the concussion trainings provided by the school.

Tryouts will run from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm daily.  Students must wear cleats and shinguards, and they must bring a large, empty water bottle to fill in the gym.  During tryouts, students are also encouraged to bring a soccer ball.

Parents must provide transportation, as there are no activity buses during tryouts.
